The bridge is called ''alamilo bridge''and the construction of the bridge is stayed bridge by using cables.The bridege's location is in Spain and the across Guadaquivir River.The designer is Santiago Calatrava,who is one of the most famous architcet in the world.
We can see the bridge which is consisted of many cables.If you see the bridge at a far distance and see from it's side,you may think this bridge as a harp.It can play beautiful sounds.Obviously,it's sound is from our sight.
Total length of the bridge is 250 m and maximum span is 200 m. The pylon inclines 58 degrees. The total length of the viaduct is 526.5 m. This type is a cable-stayed bridge. Rather than use back stays, the weight of the concrete and steel pylon provides a counterbalance for the bridge deck, and the cables create a dialogue of balance between pylon and deck.
The bridge was built for the Expo '92 , which was held on the large undeveloped island La Cartuja. Four new bridges were built, of which Calatrava designed two. The bridge form has been compared to a harp, ship's mast, and swan.
